A beautiful place with a cozy atmosphere, very friendly and helpful staff, serving delicious Scottish breakfast. The location is perfect, has many bus stops but is far enough from the noisy and crowded city centre. David, the host was at our disposal during our stay. I would recommend.

Just got back from an excellent weekend away in Edinburgh and this hotel certainly added to the experience. The staff are extremely friendly, polite and welcoming. The breakfast was fantastic and really sets you up for the day. We didn’t have any problems whilst we were there but I’m pretty confident that had we had one it would have been quickly resolved. Thank you for accommodating us and we’ll be sure to book again when we come back to visit your beautiful city

Excellent private hospitality. The folks here are enthusiastic to ensure you have a good time. Biggie for us was that they have a parking lot which is a massive bonus in Edinburgh if you have a car. Number 11 bus goes frequently from the door to the city centre. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is served with pride and seriously you won't get anything better elsewhere.

This guesthouse is a hidden treasure for travellers who want to experience Edinburgh at an affordable rate, and enjoy the charm of a classic Victorian building with beautiful period features. David and his team could not have been more gracious or welcoming, and were so attentive to our comfort during our stay. From advice on where to catch the bus into town to suggestions for a walk to the local harbour, they truly helped to make our stay a relaxing and enjoyable experience. They noted the reason for our visit (a concert at the castle) and were kind enough to show an interest in how it had gone the next day. The Scottish breakfast, with locally sourced ingredients, was absolutely delicious! The tea and toast just kept coming and we didn’t need to eat lunch on either of the two days we stayed. Room 5 has a wonderful bay window with a view onto the front garden, and is a really lovely place to sit with a cup of tea after a long day. The bus into the city centre only costs £5 for a day ticket or £2 for a single trip and takes about 15-20 minutes. It’s ideal if you want easy access in a quieter location, with a regular service every 15 minutes. We were truly sorry to have to leave and are now busy making plans to return :) Thank you David. You and your team are lovely people and a credit to the hotelier business.

Perfect! If you’re into Gilmore Girls or The Holiday kind of coziness, this is the place! The owner David and his team are amazing, friendly, kind and helpful. Breakfast is really good. They have vegetarian option. Rooms are clean and bed is comfy. It is very easy to go to the city center by bus. I’ve had the best time there.

Everything was excellent except the room tempreture. The heating was just turned on twice a day for a limited time.It was extremely cold making it difficult to sleep..

We had a wonderful stay. The hotel is beautifully styled and offers a good selection of breakfast options. The staff are friendly and helpful. There is a bus stop right across the street, and it takes 20 minutes to get to the castle area. I would definitely recommend it. Best regards to David from Türkiye :)

It was so nice, one of the best hotels I have been so far! Especially the service was nice. I gave most other hotels 5 stats for service too, but now I wish I didn't, because I can't give Haven one more star than the others :D Every breakfast was a highlight for us, the personal service was excellent and they even asked what out plans for the day were and gave nice tipps. I never experience such cool service during breakfast, usually it's just a buffet. The rooms were also nice, large and beautiful. We loved it. The bathroom was nice and there was a extra heater you could turn on to make the room nice and comfy in a minute. The hotel is perfectly reachable via bus, we used busses every day and they are very cheap to use, so that's nice! We are already planning to visit again in about 1 1/2 years and are really looking forward to it. The WLAN was nearly not usable, disconnects every half minute. But okay I guess, we were here for exploring the city anyways :D
